Sewing Training Course for the Women of Gelesefid Village – Since September 6, 2009 |

In line with Zagros project’s objective to empower women and create jobs for them, a memorandum of understanding was signed in August 2009 between the project and Technical and Vocational Training Organization of Chaharmahal va Bakhtiari Province to hold a sewing training course for the women of Gelesefid Village. The training course was formed subsequent to holding several meetings with the village women, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) workshops and carrying out need analysis. |
The training course, comprised of theoretical and practical parts, started in one of the rural houses chosen as the "Participation House" since September 6, 2009 and will continue for three months. 14 female trainees who had taken the preliminary course last summer attended the classes and were trained on sewing different types of shirts.
Those trainees who successfully pass the course will receive official certificate from the Technical and Vocational Training Organization. |
